VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Our volunteer applications take approximately 15 to 25 minutes to complete. Tip: Gather your 3 references' email addresses and a brief list of your past pocket pet/volunteer experiences before you begin. Most of our roles do not require any experience!

GENERAL VOLUNTEER OPENINGS

Consisting of multiple individuals across various hands-on roles, our general volunteers perform the foundational fieldwork and execution tasks required to support the rescue's mission.

SQUEAK
SQUAD

Duties: Dive into the vibrant world of pocket pets by joining at least 6 Facebook groups dedicated to these adorable companions! You'll be the voice of MNPPR events, sharing the joy and excitement with fellow pet lovers in these groups. You’ll also be asked to post flyers in public places every month, spreading the word and enthusiasm far and wide. You'll be an essential part of our team, reporting directly to the Events Manager.

 

Requirements: A passion for animals is a must! Basic knowledge of Google Drive and an active presence on social media will set you up for success in this role.

SUPPORT TEAM VOLUNTEER OPENINGS

The Support Team directly assists the Leadership Team by managing day-to-day coordination, correspondence, and administrative workflows.

PET PROFILE
COORDINATOR

Duties: Showcase foster animals online by creating and updating their profiles on sites like Petfinder and Adopt-a-Pet, using info from our Animal Care Manager and foster families. Your work helps each pet’s personality and story shine!

Requirements: Basic knowledge of Google Drive (or a willingness to learn) and internet access are all you need to get started.

LEADERSHIP TEAM VOLUNTEER OPENINGS

The Leadership Team is responsible for managing specific operations, attending monthly meetings, and overseeing the volunteers within their respective departments.

VOLUNTEER
MANAGER

Duties: Welcome new volunteers by processing applications and connecting them with their department leader via email. Spread the word about volunteer opportunities and support our team by answering questions or helping with concerns. Keep our employee handbook current and make sure everyone knows our policies. Stay in touch with other departments to see what help they need, and join us for monthly leadership meetings.

Requirements: You’ll need internet access and a Facebook account to help manage our Volunteer Facebook group. Excellent communication skills and basic computer know-how are a must!
