GENERAL VOLUNTEER OPENINGS

EVENT VOLUNTEER

Duties: Assist with event set up and tear down. Engage with the public providing information and answering questions about the rescue and pocket pets, provide rescue flyers/info on upcoming events, and occasionally assist with merchandise sales. Duties vary depending on the type of event. Reports to the Event Manager.

 

Requirements: Must commit to events that you have signed up for.

SUPPORT TEAM VOLUNTEER OPENINGS

FOSTER
LIAISON

Duties: Reach out to foster families for bi-weekly health and behavior updates, photos, videos, profiles, or anything else upon request from the Animal Care Manager.

 

Requirements: Must have basic knowledge of Google Drive or be willing to learn. Must have access to internet and telephone. Must have good communication skills and fast response time.

LEADERSHIP TEAM VOLUNTEER OPENINGS

VOLUNTEER
MANAGER

Duties: Process volunteer applications. Introduce new volunteers to their department leader via email. Create/remove new volunteer email addresses upon request from other Leaders. Advertise volunteer opportunities. Provide support to volunteers with general questions or concerns. Ensure that the our volunteer handbook is up-to-date. Maintain communication with other departments to assess their volunteer needs. Attend monthly leadership meetings.

 

Requirements: Internet access and Facebook accounts (to manage/add/remove volunteers from MNPPR’s Volunteer Facebook group). Basic knowledge of Google Drive or be willing to learn. Excellent communication skills.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS VOLUNTEER OPENINGS

Our Board of Directors meet once per quarter (and as needed in between). Although we do have somewhat defined roles, the BOD as a whole:

 

Ensure the organization’s activities are compliant and in furtherance of its mission. Lead, manage, and develop the organization’s leadership team, volunteers, and organizational culture. Develop, implement, monitor, and assess the organization’s programs (including their impact.) Lead the organization’s planning processes.

CHIEF FINANCIAL
OFFICER

Duties: Monitor and assess sound and compliant financial management practices (including budgeting) and fundraising practices. Provide oversight and checks/balances to the Financial Director and Bookkeeper. Develops, implements, monitors, and assesses the organization’s programs (including their impact.)

 

Requirements: Ability to meet virtually once per quarter and as needed in between. Must have basic knowledge of Google Drive or be willing to learn. Experience in finance strongly preferred.
