The Who, The What, and The Why

Welcome to the first post on Minnesota's Pocket Pet Rescue blog! THE WHO: This blog is run by Minnesota's only rescue dedicated specifically to the smallest of our fuzzy family members often grouped together as pocket pets. THE WHAT: Pocket pets are a group of mammals (and one marsupial) that have been bred and domesticated to be pets. Some of these little guys and gals are quite common and can be found at the local pet store (like hamsters and guinea pigs) while others are more rare and may be considered banned exotics depending on the state you live in. They all are captive bred animals that have been domesticated for companionship with people, just like cats and dogs. THE WHY: Why rescue
