PRIDE COMMUNITY INITIATIVE
Welcome to our Pride Community Initiative! At MN Pocket Pet Rescue, we commit to being welcoming and inclusive to folks of all ages, genders, sexual orientations, races, ethnicities, religions, body sizes, abilities, neurotypes, and backgrounds. This extends beyond animal rescue. It’s about lifting up our entire community.
Since our origin, we have always supported the LGBTQIA+ community, and we have many volunteers who are members of this community. We love participating in the Twin Cities Pride Festival, and each year we create new, limited-edition LGBTQ Pride-themed merch designed by one of our local artist volunteers.
HOW IT WORKS
This initiative is a permanent program at MNPPR. 20% of the profits from every single Pride item in our inventory is sent directly to QUEERSPACE collective. We hope to expand our partnership one day to include mutual educational programs and more!
ABOUT QUEERSPACE collective
We chose QUEERSPACE collective as the group for this initiative because of the incredible, lasting work they do supporting LGBTQIA+ youth and families right here in Minnesota.
Launched in April 2021, QUEERSPACE collective is the first mentorship program created specifically for LGBTQ+ youth in Minnesota. QUEERSPACE collective creates space for LGBTQ+ youth to feel safe and empowered to be their true selves.
Our Pride designs over the years were done by Burpingcake, Sam Pines, or Magic Fox Creations.
